准时制和精细生产内容提要：
准时制(Just-In-Time , JIT)是指持续强制性解决问题，以消除浪费的思想，是精细生产的组成部分，精益生产(Lean Production, LP)是指通过准确把握顾客需求来消除浪费的方法，消除浪费和偏差以及“拉动”物料的概念是JIT和精益生产的根本。
JIT can be defined as an integrated set of activities designed to achieve high-volume roduction using minimal inventories (raw materials, work in process, and finished goods).使用最少原材料、在制品及完成品的库存，以得到高产量的整合活动。
k = Number of kanban card sets (a set is a card)
d = Average number of units demanded over some time period
L = lead time to replenish an order (same units of time as demand)
S = Safety stock expressed as a percentage of demand during lead time
C = Container size
看板的主要功能无论是生产看板还是传送看板，使用时都必须附在装有零件的容器上必须由需方工序凭传送看板道供方工厂提取零件，或由需方向供方发出信号，供方凭传送看板转运零件要使用标准容器当按生产看板加工零件时，只生产一个标准容器所容纳数量的零件，当容器装满时，一定要将看板附在标准容器上不合格的零件绝对不允许挂看板，没有挂看板的容器绝对不允许运走。
