BPITRAINING教育英文(ppt 41页)内容简介

BPI Goal
The goal of Lean (ELS) is to accelerate the velocity of any process by eliminating waste in all its forms.
The goal of Six Sigma is to reduce defects in quality and elimination of variation.

The goal of BPI is to do both Lean and Six Sigma simultaneously in a Kaizen Event format with the Lean Six Sigma tool kit and a business culture to be the best.
In short, what sets Lean Six Sigma apart from it’s individual components is the recognition that you can’t do “just speed” or “just quality”.
Lean Six Sigma–It’s Not Just for the Shop Floor Anymore
Higher customer expectations, cost-cutting pressures, and reduced lead times are challenges that Eaton continues to face. To meet these challenges, Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools are being implemented on the shop floor to eliminate waste and defects in quality.
Creating a Lean Six Sigma shop floor is only part of the solution. Office operations can consume more than 60% of the total customer order lead time and account for a significant portion of our “selling, general and administrative expenses” (SG&A).

BPI Kaizen Event Steps
Select a business process to improve.  Develop a business case statement and goals, select a product/service family, determine customer expectations, and form a team.  (DEFINE)
Value Stream Map (VSM) the current state. Select a product family, VSM current process, and calculate metrics.  (MEASURE)
Analyze the current state VSM.  Review sources of waste and identify opportunities for improvement. (ANALYZE)
Develop a future state vision. Develop a future state VSM using four Lean concepts: 1) create continuous flow, 2) organize the workplace for flow, 3) build-in “quality at the source”, and, 4) standardize the tasks.  (IMPROVE)
Implement improvement ideas. Develop an implementation plan and present it to management for approval.  (CONTROL)
