2.1    Redesigning of the company supply chain network

Effective logistics network planning can reduce logistics cost and improve service level, thus strengthening comprehensive competency of the company.

In 2003, some parts in China are rich in transportation capacity, while some other parts are in lack of it. According to the dispatch statistics of one company, for the products produced in place A, if they are transferred to place B first before dispatching, the transportation cost for a single month can reduce by several ten thousand. Thus if a RDC is set up in place B, it can not only integrate the original scattered warehousing, eliminate the transportation bottle neck, and improve order fulfillment, but also lower the costs.

With comprehensive considerations of the factories and sales centers, the redesigned network can show greater advantage.
