It is very important to know the following aspects of interval estimation:
Equation (7.1) does not say that the probability of  true m lying between the given limits is 1 α.
Since m, although an unknown, is assumed to be some fixed number, either it lies in the interval or it does not.
What (7.1)states is that, for the method described in this chapter, the probability of constructing an interval that contains m is 1 α.
